Growth modification treatment of mandibular retrognathism using twin block apparatus (case report)

چکیده
Interceptive orthodontic treatment, which is growth modification treatment using removable appliances such as twin block, effective in treating skeletal retrognathic mandibular abnormalities growing patients. A 10-year-old female with class II den-toskeletal malocclusion was treated a block device for 8 months of active period and 4 retention to obtain I relationships, molar canine relationships normal overjet overbite. Treatment begins recording the bite by instructing patient advance her lower jaw needed, then ma-king tool design. Devices maxillary blocks are worn at least 20 hours day con-trol intervals every 2 weeks. The results were very good patient's relationship being I. It concluded that patients can be device, cooperation, this effectively stimulates growth.
